> Participatory Ecological Land Use Management (PELUM) Kenya is the Kenyan country chapter of the PELUM Association — a network of Civil Society Organizations and NGOs working with small-scale farmers in East, Central, and Southern Africa. PELUM Kenya promotes agroecological principles and practices through advocacy, networking, capacity development, and knowledge sharing. It has 68 member organizations operating across all 47 counties in Kenya. Member organizations do not promote GMOs or synthetic agricultural inputs.

## Organizational Structure

- **Country Working Group (CWG):** All 68 Kenyan member organizations
- **Country (National) Board:** 8-member advisory/governance body (3 male, 5 female)
- **Country Secretariat:** Based in Thika; 13 full-time staff; led by the Country Coordinator
- **Regional Secretariat:** Coordinates PELUM regionally; located in Kampala, Uganda
- **Regional Board:** Made up of Country Board Chairpersons from all PELUM countries
- **Triennial General Meeting (TGM):** Highest decision-making body; meets every three years

- Members are organized into four zones: Nairobi & Central; Rift & Western; Upper Eastern & Northern; Lower Eastern & Coast
- PELUM Kenya also supports PGS (Participatory Guarantee System) farmer groups
